Land of Shadows Exhibition.

Pupil Name & Class __________________________

School ______________________________________

Today you will be taking part in a "workshop" to make a piece of Artwork which you have created as part of a team. You will be asked to Listen, Look and Create. As a member of a team you will have to work for the good of the whole group. After you have had a tour round the exhibition you will have a chance to do some drawing. You will be asked to imagine what a Dragon looks like.

"I am armoured above and below with scales and hard gems"
Smaug, The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein.

"Smaug lay, with wings folded like an immeasurable bat ... his long pale belly crusted with gems and fragments of gold".
The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein.

These are some descriptions of a dragon called SMAUG. Perhaps you can think of other words you would use to describe a dragon. If you can, write them below.

Now that you have all made your dragon, you might like to make a smaller model of a dragon back at school.

What did you enjoy most about today's visit?

What did you find most interesting?

Did you think anything you were asked to do was difficult?

What did you think you were best at?

Was the class dragon a success?
